Orifice sizing (for nerds)
Nozzles are also sized by orifice (the tiny hole where water exits). Common sizes: 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 mm.
What it means:
- Larger orifice = more water volume at same PSI
- Smaller orifice = less water but more concentrated pressure
Practical translation:
- 2.0-2.5 mm: For 2000-2500 PSI machines (residential)
- 3.0-3.5 mm: For 3000-3500 PSI machines (professional)
- 4.0 mm: For higher flow/commercial machines
